If you do not want a religious ceremony to bring your children into a church community, you can welcome them into your community of family and friends with a Naming Ceremony.

It marks the importance of the children in your life and the role they play and will continue to play in your family. You can ask other adults to take on a mentoring or guardian role and can acknowledge the importance of grandparents and/or aunts and uncles in helping you to raise your children. You can express publicly your hopes for the future and have others express their wishes for your family.

It is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy that children bring and create a documented ceremony that will stay as part of their life and form part of their life memories.
